Which means the PS3 console has an advantage over all stand alone Blu-Ray disc players { even the "high-end" ones } as it has the ability to upgrade and update it's files by connecting thru the internet.
So it's not really an expensive piece of equipment - especially as you get 3 useful features for the price of 1, that is: gaming/on-line gaming, play movies, on-line capabilities for updates/browsing for free and some to spend downloads.
PS3 = GranTurismo 5: Prologue & GranTurismo 5
XBox 360 = Gears of War 2 & Halo Wars
*both consoles = Silent Hill 5
Don't really read anything from Nintendo...
Very much correct - motion sensors/sensing is utterly useless.
Pads have never changed since the glory days of the PS1, hope by the time the next PS4 is released we'll really get a "new" controller.
If you really want to know the facts about DualShock3 for the PS3, here they are:
>> All important vibration { even when set to 'high' ) is not as good as XBox 360's, those who have both consoles as I do ( PS3 & XBox 360 ) can attest to this.
>> Weight is only slightly noticable as on normal Sixaxis without "rumble".
>> Basically the same design, look and feel as normal Sixaxis except for DualShock3 logo, which I mus...
Yes, and include advanced weather physics ( ala PGR4 ) which is what I'ved read on a few websites including N4G that Sony/Polyphony are possibly going to add in "real" GranTurismo 5...
... So wait for a proper confirmation from Kazunori Yamauchi-san.
Have downloaded GranTurismo HD sampler ( which is already stunning ), and am expecting this Prologue or "teaser" to be slightly better graphically and be more enjoyable to play as it has more tracks and automobiles plus has in-car camera views which I prefer using.
But the true experience will be delivered once the "real" GranTurismo 5 appears on shelves. With damage-mode and possibly weather-physics implemented.
Will be saving-up for Logitech's Drivin...
Great *new move there.
Will surely be watching-out for the 2nd installment with excitement.
Nice clip as well.
Going to be the most sought-after Christmas till New Year gift/present.
What I want to see and read now is for N4G or any gaming website to test this new force-feedback Logitech Driving Force GranTurismo wheel against the gamers' benchmark Logitech G25 wheel.
Was reading on their website, and really looks promising:
>> 24-position realtime adjustment dial { in red }
>> 900 degrees wheel rotation = 2 and 1/2 turn lock to lock
>> all important "force-feedback" or steering wheel "rumble"
...
Should'ved brought a Full-HD Bravia series from Sony instead.
Yes it does look very familiar, but don't think Bungie would sue.
Best time to view and enjoy CGI people and surroundings is only on replay mode.
Besides that it's the all important driving/racing/competing which is far more entertaining.
Will be waiting in a few days time for my copy from Japan ( can't wait ), and another copy I'ved pre-ordered here in Australia which will be coming-out in April but with more cars --- ( worldwide release disc on Blu-Ray will have an additional number of vehicles than those from Japan. )
The cost of purchasing a PS3 really wreaked havoc on Sony.
In some countries they are still struggling to save and buy this console.
And then there used to be a big issue on the number of titles available, especially real quality triple "A" games to compete with XBox and Nintendo.
At least nowadays some are showing up on gameshops' and other retail market shelves.
Also a lot of fans were put-off by not having "rumble&q...
Fanboys/girls = Rabid Salesperson ( from a job description's point of view )
Fanboys/girls = Cult Followers ( from a religious/sect point of view )
Fanboys/girls = Mindless Paparrazi's ( from a 15seconds of fame point of view )
All in all they are a dangerous bunch of misfits and should be regarded with a high degree of caution.
Remember Drunna?
If they can revive and re-make another Drunna game ( from Paolo E. Serpieri ) using this technology with the added advancement of CGI and a total re-thinking for a better storyline, could make this a better cult-game.
I don't own the game version, but have a few of his most infamous Drunna heroine on books and HeavyMetal magazines ( comments that I'ved read were that it was totally bad and did the character a lot of injustice ).
A...
You're wrong there bud ( PS3-1701D ), got me a DualShock3 sent by my cousin from Osaka here in Sydney. Cost me less than AU$50 = US$45.
Took 2 days to get here and download the patch for vibration to work.
It is a sixaxis pad except for a very slight weight difference and the DualShock3 logo.
About the vibration:
>> "Minimal", "slight" but not neccessarily "refined" ( if that is your view ) vibration even if you s...
Stop..... Don't you think it could be because a lot of Americans are living in a state of paranoid world?
Paranoid about everything that they have created and forced upon themselves which really don't need much attention to? Like rampant availability of guns and drugs to fix their "own" problems about crime that is now back-firing on themselves.
A world of quick-fix drugs and prescription tablets to heal all woes, when all you really need is commons sense and a...
Think the benchmark for realistic gaming gore and horror is still the very first Silent Hill on the PS1.
It had a direct simple storyline ( the most important ), plus it was new and we have'nt seen anything like this type of game before.
The less weapons you have at your disposal the scarier it got, which is the "true" experience of terror.
It did'nt require any ballistic or some form high-tech gadgetry, it was a grassroots in your face game playing....
It's the 21st Century people and your all still whinging about slight glances of women's nipples in games?
A very big improvement over standard dvd's, especially if you own a Full-HD screen.
It's the best way to experience the huge jump in video clarity.
More so if you own a fairly affordable and good surround sound system to hear True-HD audio.
Blu-Ray is a good addition and evolution from normal dvd viewing and listening.
The PS3 system could be one of the cheapest way to avail of Blu-Ray, plus it's a gaming and networking console.
So you get 2...
PS3 = GranTurismo 5: Prologue/GranTurismo 5
XBox 360 = Gears of War 2/Halo Wars
on all consoles = Silent Hill 5
>> Hah ha ha... that is so funny Ghostbusters is on the list.
Seriously the list was a big lame-o, like it was chosen by a 10-year old kid.
